For Indiana residents, MLJ Adoptions, Inc. will act as your service provider for home study, adoption preparation education, attorney document and contract review, consultations, authentications, readoption, etc; however, your adoption agency will be one approved by the government of Nepal.
Who Can Adopt from Nepal?
- Couples married for a minimum of four years and single women may adopt from Nepal.
- Adoptive parents must be at least 30 years older than the child being adopted, and between the ages of 30 and 55 years old.
- Single women must be between the ages of 35 and 55 years old.
Children Available for Adoption
- Infants, toddlers, and older children of both sexes are available for adoption.
- Many of the children have been abandoned at the orphanage due to the death of one or both of their parents or due to extreme poverty.
- Children are generally of Asian heritage.
