MudLOVE: Unique Opportunity for Adoption Fundraiser

International adoption is expensive. Many families on their adoption journeys look for creative ways to fundraise and finance their adoptions. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to speak with an organization that has helped some of our MLJ Adoptions families make their adoption dreams a reality.

Kristin Elsner is the Administrative Director for MudLOVE, a small business built on the idea of giving back in special, loving ways. MudLOVE has a passion to disrupt patterns of brokenness in this world through a thoughtful and creative pursuit of love. The product that they create is a bracelet, but it’s more than just that. The company gives 20% of their proceeds to a company called Water for Good, who works in Central African Republic drilling and maintaining wells. In Central African Republic, clean drinking water is a huge need. MudLOVE is excited to walk alongside Water for Good as lives are saved because of access to clean drinking water.

Not only do the proceeds from MudLOVE bracelets go towards clean drinking water in Central African Republic, but it can also be used to fundraise for your family’s adoption journey. Each customer of MudLOVE has a special partnership depending on their needs and desires.

We asked Kristin how an adoption fundraiser could work for a family. She assured us that not only are they easy, but they have been successful for families in the past. The fundraising process starts with one order (of at least 50) in bulk pricing. Anyone is able to purchase our bands in bulk pricing (starting at $3.95 per band). Once the order is placed, we will make the bands, send them to the families, and then they can start distributing their bands. Since they have already purchased the bands in bulk pricing, they are free to sell them for however much they need. As they keep selling their bands, they can keep reordering- and if their following orders are within 60 days of each other, they can get a 10% discount.

Families can choose what they want to have printed on the bracelet in addition to what colored string they would like. There are also some mixing and matching options. While the bracelets are the easiest item to sell as part of a fundraiser, MudLOVE is open to working with you to design a fundraiser perfect for you. Check out MudLOVE’s Fundraising Page for options and details about how to get started with your family’s fundraiser. MudLOVE has been a part of helping families fundraise for their adoptions, take mission trips or raise money for school events; the website includes various Success Stories sure to inspire your fundraising aspirations!

Thank you, Kristin for taking time to answer our questions and share with us about a practical fundraising idea. We are encouraged by your company’s desire to find creative ways to spread love and help others.
