Melody Hoover

Home Study Assistant

Melody Hoover works as a Home Study Assistant with MLJ Adoptions. She visits with MLJ Adoptions’ Indiana families and assists them in completing their home study. Her favorite part of her job is meeting new families who have a heart to open their lives for a child who needs a loving home.

She enjoys completing home studies for MLJ Adoptions because she firmly believes in the way that we provide services. Beginning with the home study, Melody is able to provide organized services that benefit families and children; these services continue to be provided by other departments throughout a family’s adoption process.

A proud mom of four boys, Melody has been able to welcome children into her home biologically and through adoption. She’ll tell anyone who will listen that her boys have served in the military, attended college, and one is getting married. Melody also enjoys spending time with her two dogs – Cecil and Yeager.

Melody earned her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from the Southern Adventist University. Prior to working at MLJ Adoptions, Melody served families and children in the foster care system in her role as a Resource Family Manager at The Villages, where she worked for twenty-three years.
