5 Ways to say “Thank You” on National Teacher’s Day

May

We take one day each year to honor our mothers and fathers, celebrate birthdays, and rejoice in the holidays. But there is a very important group of people whom we tend to forget to give our thanks – teachers. These individuals are not only instructors in the classroom, but are friends, role models, and leaders in our communities.

May 7th is National Teacher’s Day. It is a day to recognize educators around the world, and acknowledge their dedication to improving the lives of their students. Teachers have made a difference in the lives of each one of us, and their efforts should be appreciated – not only once a year, but every day.

Education is such an important part of the adoption process, and our educators go above and beyond to make sure our families are prepared and knowledgeable!

Here are five ways you can say thank you to our educators!

1. Change Your Facebook Cover Photo – Here are some pre-made cover photos for you to choose from. Spread the love for teachers by updating your Facebook Cover Photo for the day!

2. Take a Pledge – Show that you appreciate all they do for our children!

3. Volunteer – Teachers need volunteers for field trips, musicals, plays, camps, and other events year-round. Do your part to help them!

4. Write a Letter – Write a letter to an old teacher who made a difference in your life! They may or may not remember you if it’s been a few years, but they will be touched by words either way.

5. Give A Gift – Send a gift to an extraordinary teacher who your child loves. Thank them for being a positive influence for your youngster. Check Etsy to find some personalized gifts, or use Pinterest to get ideas to make something yourself!

We are grateful here at MLJ for our Adoption Education Coordinators and all they do to prepare our families. Their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! A special thanks to Brooke, Judy, and Kathy!
